Living simply so that others may simply live

I've been selling so many of my clothes on ebay lately! It's amazing how relieving it is to let go of things. I can't wait until I start selling the big furniture in my apartment so I can finally live minimally again. I feel like the next place I live should only have my bed, the old oak kitchen table & chairs I grew up with that my parents bought in 1985, the necessities (what's in my bathroom, clothing, dishes), my giant 30x60" bulletin board, the turntable Mike gave me, and the two pieces my grandmother gave me that I could never get rid of: her full-length wooden mirror, and her brass lamp with the cream-and-lace shade. That's not too much- is it? I don't think it is. I'm sure that i'll probably be keeping most of my smaller vintage knick knacks for now, since 1) I am an old lady at heart and 2) it's going to be hard to sell those things anyhow.

So, back to my point on selling off most of my wardrobe... since i've been getting rid of so much, i've realized that I do need some more staples, some things that I can wear throughout the seasons, but most especially for spring (almost here!). Perfect timing, with my birthday coming up, you know?
  1. A vintage coach messenger bag
  2. One pair black lace-up granny boots
  3. Two or three soft blouses in pale blues or saturated reds
  4. At least two pleated miniskirts
  5. One beige trench coat (for rainy spring weather)
  6. Several pairs of over-the-knee socks to wear over tights
  7. Two or three oversized tees
  8. One pair of perforated oxford flats
  9. At least two a-line floral skirts
  10. Two white or cream vintage slips
I'm thinking this is my spring color pallete.
